Baked Fontina

This is another Ina Garten recipe. Her stuff is wonderful.


Servings: 4 - 6

Ingredients:

  • 8 ounces approximately of fontina cheese, cut into 1” cubes (*)

  • 1 to 2 cloves garlic, minced 

  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, minced 

  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, minced 

  • Salt and Pepper 

  • 1 crusty French baguette

(*) The cheese available to me in my market is actually about 6 ounces – it doesn’t have to be exact

Instructions:

  1. Preheat broiler to high 

  2. Distribute cubes of cheese evenly in a cast-iron pan or shallow ramekin.

  3. Sprinkle garlic, thyme, rosemary, salt and pepper evenly over cheese. 

  4. Place pan under broiler until the cheese is melted and starting to brown.
